Pedestrian hit, killed by train in Southeast Fresno

A witness said two trains were passing by the area.

One person is dead following a train accident in Southeast Fresno.

Witnesses said the victim was walking his bicycle across the tracks near Church Avenue and East Avenue just before 7 a.m. Monday.

They said two trains were passing each other and the victim did not see one of the trains. Police say he walked around the crossing arms.

The victim's identity has not been released. An Amtrak train was delayed for over an hour while crews investigated the crash.
