Fresno police have confirmed /*Aharon Davoyan*/ was taken into custody for assault with a deadly weapon.
The victim,/* Nick Burriel Jr*/. recently came out of a coma but remains hospitalized in stable condition. Nick's parents say he has tried to speak the past few days and is starting to recognize some family members, but still has a long recovery ahead.
Police said Burriel and Davoyan know each other and the fight at the Elbow Room on November 16th, occurred because of a prior disturbance between them.
Fresno police interviewed close to 50 people who were at the Elbow Room that night, to figure out what happened and who was the aggressor.
Officers found Nick Burriel severely beaten in the parking lot. Two weeks ago investigators said they were also waiting for physical evidence to return from a lab before making an arrest.
Davoyan was released after posting bail.
