Son sought in beating of parents in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

Authorities responded to a domestic disturbance call at a home on Dewey and Simpson around 11 p.m. Wednesday. When police arrived, they found a man who was beaten in the head several times. They said the man's wife also had wounds to her face.

Authorities are trying to figure out what led to the beating. "We did find a garden tool that was bloodied. It was in one of the adjacent rooms. We believe that may have been used to hit the father," said Herman Silva, Fresno Police Department.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. Authorities said the man is in critical condition. His wife's injuries were not that severe and she is expected to be okay.

Police are currently looking for their 21-year-old son.
