The 21-year-old victim was found lying in the Dollar Tree parking lot near Livingstone's.
Several witnesses rushed to help the young man who was stabbed in the arm. Police say the victim and his friends told officers they were confronted by several men in a grey BMW who challenged them to a fight. Seconds later officers say the group was attacked and one of the suspects grabbed a machete, stabbing the victim several times.
The suspects have not been caught. The victim is in stable condition at Community Regional Medical Center.
