County supervisors extended their ban on all marijuana growing, including for medical purposes. The vote came despite pleas from a disabled veteran.
The board already banned all marijuana growing in the county through a zoning ordinance and just added the ban on medical marijuana. Supervisors also said pot grows are a magnet for crime. But ban only applies to unincorporated areas.
Most cities allow limited marijuana growing for medical purposes.
