The 144th Fighter Wing hosted a Hometown Heroes Award Ceremony in East Central Fresno.
It recognized dozens of airmen who have recently returned from deployments in support of air force operations worldwide including Afghanistan. Dignitaries, including Congressman Jim Costa, were there to salute the courageous military members.
"For those who wear the uniform here this afternoon, none of us can possibly say thank you, thank you, thank you enough," Jim Costa said.
Sunday's ceremony also recognized the families of those who serve our country and the sacrifices they make here at home.
