Los Angeles Galaxy play the Jose Earthquakes in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

All the futbol excitement begins on Thursday. The preseason exhibition match will be the first time ever two Major League Soccer (MLS) franchises will play each other in the City of Fresno.

The event is called the Inaugural Central California Cup. But the Fresno Fuego, the Fresno team, will also get a chance to play in a couple of games as well.

Before the Inaugural Central California Cup on February 15th, the Fuego and Galaxy II battle will be Thursday the 13th at Chukchansi Park starting at 7 p.m. The exhibition match will start at just $6 for general admission.

Thursday's Galaxy team will be comprised of LA Galaxy first team players, LA Galaxy academy players, and players signed by the LA Galaxy II, according to a LA Galaxy statement.

The valley soccer team was already slated to take on the San Jose Earthquakes reserve team before Saturday's cup match between the Quakes and the Galaxy.

The soccer action starts this Thursday, February 13th. The Fresno Fuego will play the La Galaxy II. Game time is 7 p.m.

The Inaugural Central California Cup is this Saturday at 7 p.m. between MLS rivals sAn Jose and Los Angeles.

The Galaxy are four time MLS Cup winners. The Quakes have won two in franchise history.
