A Fresno man whose inbox was flooded with emails because of a software bug received another surprise from Google this week.

During an email glitch that left Gmail unusable for millions of its users, David Peck received more than 10,000 emails from all over the world. That's because his personal email address kept coming up in the Google search function.

This week, Google sent Peck a green Android logo cookie jar filled with candy as a "peace offering." In a card attached to the package, Google apologized for the inconvenience.
