Investigators say Rudy Buendia, Patrick Bowman and Joseph Cuellar violated federal cleanup laws. They say all three knew the students were being exposed to asbestos, which is known to cause cancer.
A judge sentenced Buendia to two years in prison and Bowman to 27 months. Sentencing for Cuellar is scheduled for June 16. That is also when a restitution hearing is scheduled for all three men.
