This weekend, Fresno residents can dispose of old, unwanted tires for free.

The city is using grant money to hold a Waste Tire Amnesty Day on Saturday, March 8.

However, there are a few rules:

-- You must be a Fresno resident, and the limit is nine tires per vehicle.

-- You must also provide ID to show proof of residency.

The event starts at 8 a.m. and runs until noon at Edison High School, which is located at 540 E. California Ave.
