One of his family members alerted authorities when they received a text from Young - saying he had a broken foot after a motorcycle crash. Officials said the text message was not received for several hours, which delayed their search.
His wrecked motorcycle was found a short time later near Dinkey Creek Road and Fishing Club Road. Officials are hoping the footprints discovered near the motorcycle will lead them to Young.
"We have people that are really good at tracking. We've got canines, Jeeps, people out on quads -- lots of fire roads to run. We're acting on what we find in the field. It might be shoe tracks, clothing," said Sgt. Jared McCormick.
