Man arrested for shooting his brother in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif.

Michael Thomas, 45, was taken into custody for the shooting on Monday in Central Fresno.

It happened on the corner of Saginaw Way and Diana Street at about 7:00 a.m.

Police say they found a weapon, and a trail of blood, that led to a nearby urgent care office.

The victim is hospitalized for treatment of his injuries. He told police, he and his brother had an ongoing feud, and this was the second time his brother shot him.

Investigators say Thomas was previously convicted of voluntary manslaughter of his girlfriend and served 16 years in state prison.
