Merced County authorities say they found David O'Neal Coleman, 40, hiding under the foundation of a home in Le Grand on Friday.
Coleman escaped from the John Latoracca Correctional Facility early Thursday morning. Jail officials noticed Coleman was missing after conducting a routine inmate headcount throughout the housing unit.
Coleman apparently escaped through the roof area of the inmate housing unit and somehow got around the razor wire fencing. But authorities say he suffered serious injuries from the razor wire during the escape.
