One of the crimes happened at Peltzer Groves on Road 168 near Avenue 344 on Friday. Authorities say someone cut through a chain-link fence and a metal building to steal several hand tools and welders. The victim estimated his loss at nearly $4,500.
That same day, thieves cut through a chain-link fence and two locks at Willitts Pump Company on Avenue 296 near Road 156. The suspects stole copper wire, and the total loss is estimated at $10,000.
