Investigators say a man in his mid-30s got into an argument inside the Mendocino Market near Young and Mendocino. Moments later, he was attacked outside his apartment across the street from the store.
Police say they found the man with several stab wounds to his neck and head. We are told he was in critical condition at a Fresno hospital.
"That's a serious threat for us because we don't know what actually led to it and as to why they actually followed him and stabbed him at his home," said Sgt. Thomas Rodriguez with the Parlier Police Department.
Officers say they do not yet know the motive behind the stabbing, but they are reviewing surveillance video from inside the store in an effort to identify the group of suspects.
