Atwater hit-and-run victim helps catch suspect

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Atwater police say the victim of a hit-and-run crash helped catch the suspect.

Stephen Cutshall, 59, is accused of driving his car into the victim's vehicle near Clinton Avenue and Shaffer Road on Friday night and leaving the scene. But the victim followed the suspect into the parking lot of a nearby market.

Cutshall was arrested for DUI, driving on a suspended license, hit-and-run, no insurance, and another DUI misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released from jail about eight hours later.
