Authorities identify woman found dead in Fresno canal

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office said 48-year-old Debora Deaver of Fresno was found dead in a dry canal near Brawley and Jensen avenues.

The Coroner's Office said the cause of death has not been determined and they are waiting for the results of the toxicology tests.

Just after 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon, a driver parked their car near a canal on Brawley just north of Jensen and noticed the woman face down in the bottom of the canal.

Detectives say her death is questionable.
