Authorities investigating car crash near Dos Palos that killed 1, injured 3 others

DOS PALOS, Calif. (KFSN) -- The California Highway Patrol is investigating a car crash north of Dos Palos that killed one person and sent three others to the hospital. It happened just before nine Tuesday morning at Sand Slough Road and Nickel Road.

Investigators said a 69-year-old driver was approaching a sharp 90-degree curve, lost control, and overturned into a ditch. The driver died at the scene.

One passenger managed to get all the others out of the overturned car-- including two children. The two children and another adult passenger went to the hospital with minor injuries.
