FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds came to downtown Fresno on Saturday to pay their respects to the man considered the godfather of the classic car circuit in the Valley.

A celebration of life was held in honor of Blackie Gejeian at Valdez Hall. Gejeian started "Autorama" back in 1958 and for 51 years he brought hot rods and Hollywood cars to Fresno, serving as an inspiration to many people interested in classic cars.

Those who knew him say he was a man who treated everyone like a friend, and whose passion was unmatched when it came to cars.
