Suspect with box cutter attacks man at Bullfrogs Bar in Kingsburg

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities say 40-year-old John Strickland was booked into the Tulare County Jail on attempted murder charges after he allegedly slashed 24-year-old Eduard Puente's neck.

Investigators said they did not know why Strickland attacked the victim. They said he was detained by security and other bar patrons.

The victim was taken to Community Regional Medical Center where he was treated and released.
