FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds of people braved the heat on Saturday in hopes of landing a job.
The call center is looking to fill 400 positions at their Fresno and Clovis locations. The company currently employs about 1,700 people in the Valley -- so the new hires will bring the total to more than 2,000.
Organizers were happy with Saturday's turnout and say many people were offered jobs on the spot.
"Ultimately the goal here is to hire the right people and hire people who want to work here, but also make sure we're providing a great candidate experience for them. If we can offer positions on the spot, I think that's a bonus for everybody," said Chris Pitts, Regional Recruiting Manager, Alorica.
The positions are full time. Pay starts at $9 an hour and employees can earn incentives after training. Benefits are also available.
