Bimbo Bakeries Closing Downtown Fresno Location

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Bimbo Bakeries is shutting down their production facility in Downtown Fresno.
Tuesday, they announced the closure of the l Street location. 92 people will lose their jobs. The closure comes just four months after it laid off 73 employees from the same location.
Bimbo Bakeries said it is consolidating their manufacturing footprint. And most of their production will be down out of their Sacramento location. Bimbo said they will keep their other Fresno location open.
The Fresno Regional Workforce Investment Board will provide unemployment services to the employees during the transition. Bimbo Bakeries will shut down the Downtown Fresno location by March 27, 2015.
