FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Americans spent an estimated $21 billion on Moms this holiday and in the Valley, Old Town Clovis was a popular spot to hunt for the perfect gift.

At the Foundry Collective, customers found the kind of gifts you can't get at a big box store, like vintage clothes and repurposed furniture.

"We've had a really busy week with Mother's Day," Karen Chisum with the store said. "We've had an increase in sales for the week, a lot of people coming in to buy unique and individual gifts for moms and grandmothers and daughters."

In sheer numbers, flowers were the number one gift for mothers across the country and was given by the most people.

But in total spending, jewelry was tops with more than $4 billion spent.
