Valley store shares the gift of giving this holiday season

REEDLEY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Surviving your first year in business is a milestone for many owners and for one Reedley store it has been an incredibly sweet year.

Shelly Henderson is the owner of the Candy and Toy Shop, which celebrated one year in October.

Leaders say the special events they host like Trick or Treating has helped bring more business to the area. The store serves sweet treats and is often a place for warm conversations.

Shelly uses the money to buy kids something their parents might not be able to afford. A gift that's impacted those who walk through their store.

"We're just here for people and we have felt that, people given back. We're an old-fashioned shop serving good fashioned morals," Henderson said.

A small town valley business filled with warmth and love not just this season, but all year long. It's open for business is open through Monday through Saturday.
