FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Officers were checking out a hit and run, on 10th Avenue and Enore early Thursday morning, when they received a call regarding a car jacking.

Police say a man was giving the suspect, Neco Coulstrings, a ride home from a party when he attacked him, threw him out of his car, and drove away. Police say the same vehicle was also involved in a hit and run.

Later on Thursday morning, investigators found the stolen vehicle. While they were processing the car for evidence, they noticed Coulstrings attempting to hide on the roof of a nearby home.

Police say Coulstrings matched the description of the car jacking suspect and the vehicle was matched to the hit and run by damage and a piece of the vehicle that was left at the scene.

Coulstrings was booked into the Kings County Jail.
