Two suspects rob store at gunpoint in Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are looking for suspects in an overnight armed robbery in Central Fresno.

The two thieves pulled a gun on a clerk and a customer at the 7-Eleven near Clinton Avenue and Fruit Avenue around 2:30 Friday morning. Police say the two men had hoodies tied tightly around their faces. They demanded cash from the register, and then took off running into a nearby neighborhood.

Police say no one was hurt in the robbery. "Clerks did the right thing they cooperated, gave them the property and stuff -- and you know they had concerns for the people there and the customers in the store," said Michael Manfredi, Fresno Police.

Investigators are now checking surveillance video from the store to get a better description of the two suspects. Police haven't said how much money they got away with.
