Merced County becomes 2nd Valley county to receive Johnson & Johnson vaccine
Merced County health officials have received an allotment of the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A third type of protection from COVID-19 is now available in the North Valley.

Merced County health officials have received an allotment of the single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

This adds to the growing number of shots the county is currently receiving and allows some residents to only need one shot to receive protection from the virus.

Health officials encourage everyone who is eligible to get the shot when they can.

There will be several vaccine clinics held next week where you can receive one of the three vaccine types.
