A Tulare family given a special early Christmas gift by Firefighters and local businesses
Members of the of Tulare County Fire Department, out of Station 25, brought a special holiday surprise to one family.

TULARE, Calif. (KFSN) -- Members of the of Tulare County Fire Department, out of Station 25, brought a special holiday surprise to one family.

Officials said members of Station 25 formed a non-profit group called Company 25 Volunteers and each year they hold two fundraiser's in order to give back to the community they serve. Every year they look for a family to help make Christmas that much more special.

This year a family of eight was selected after being was recommended by one of the local schools. A wish list was made and given to Company 25 members to shop for. They were able to fulfill all that was listed by each family member.

Jessica Hill and Jessica's Sweetpea Daycare generously assisted with fulfilling those list

Last week, officials said Company 25 members helped decorate the families tree with lights and ornaments they provided. This week volunteers surprised the kids with a visit from Santa and the gifts that were purchased.

Black Bear Dinner also provided a meal with all the fixings.

Suburban Propane also helped out by providing propane to help heat the families home after it was discovered that the family had none. they will also be doing a safety check of all the families appliances.
