FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Butterflies filled the air at the annual Mariposa Butterfly Festival.
The festival celebrates the Spanish name of the historic gold rush town, Mariposa means butterfly.
Guests from all over the world came to enjoy the arts and crafts, and of course, the butterflies.
More than 5,000 of butterflies were released. The festival weekend kicked off at ten in this morning with the Mariposa Butterfly Festival parade.
