Boxing gym hosts tournament with fighters from across the U.S.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Aleman Boxing Gym in Fresno was the place to be for boxing Saturday.

The gym held a big amateur show, Saturday, with 28 fights featuring boxers from across the Valley, state and even as far as Idaho.

The gym plans to host three more shows later this year in April, September, and November.

"It helps our gym a lot to have good crowds like this and this is a fundraiser for us. Keeps the doors open, keeps the kids off the streets. It's real boxing, no playing around about it. It's three rounds and depending on the age of the kids depends on how long the rounds go," Frank Aleman said.
