Head to the Comic Crawl or hang out at the Chowchilla Fair this weekend

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It might be a little wet and cool this weekend but don't let that dampen your plans.

You can still take the kids to a Grizzlies game to look at police cars, fire engines and more.

Or you can head to Kearney park for a pirate festival.

The Chowchilla-Madera County Fair is this weekend.

Just put on your rain boots and jacket and make your way to all the good food, carnival games, and of course good entertainment.

On Friday don't miss the kart racing.

All weekend you'll see the fastest hog race to the finish line.

Loud booms will sound throughout Kearney Park this weekend at the Pirate Festival in Fresno.

Join in on the fun, dress up as a pirate, sip on rum and grub on delicious food.

Bring the wee ones for pirate school, fire the monkey cannon and take pictures with mermaids.

Did I mention there is a beard and mustache contest?

If you love superheroes and villians, this Saturday head to the Tower District for the Comic Crawl.

Costumes are encouraged.

Dress as ANY superhero, villain, scifi, horror movie, action character that you want to be!

The crawl starts at 8 and wristbands are only $5. This gets you into the bars and drink specials.

This is a 21 and older event.

If your kids missed Touch a Truck last week, don't worry, there's another chance for your kids to explore.

This Sunday at the Fresno Grizzlies, kids will be able to sit inside and take a peek at several emergency vehicles, construction trucks, race cars and even a military truck.

It's free to take a look at trucks if you bought a ticket to the Grizzlies game.

Vegans - there is an event dedicated to you.

This Sunday at Tioga Sequoia Brewing Company is the Vegan Beer Fest.

Several vendors, including Southern Fired Vegan, will be serving up tasty alternatives like Mac N Cheeze, Jambalaya, Cajun Corn, Beer-Cheeze Battered Beyond Burgers, and totchos.

It all starts at 1 p.m.
