Fresno restaurant donating proceeds to help victims of Mexico earthquake
The Berlin Street Grill is a German-Mediterranean fusion spot, but when the owners saw so many people suffer, they knew they had to do something.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A northeast Fresno restaurant is delivering help to victims of Mexico's big earthquakes.

The Berlin Street Grill is a German-Mediterranean fusion spot where German sausages and the beef and lamb sandwiches have been pretty popular since December 2015.

But after watching so many people suffer in Mexico this last week, they decided today's profits are going straight to Topos Mexicanos and the Mexican Red Cross.

"When Hurricane Harvey hit they were the first to offer to send aid and support to the U.S., and it's the neighborly thing to do and so we're just doing our part," Michael Karbassi said.

The restaurant on Cedar and Herndon is open until 8 p.m.
