Girl power takes over Downtown Fresno Convention Center

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Girls World Expo took over the convention center in Downtown Fresno on Sunday.

The one-day event helps girls and young ladies between the ages of 11 and 17 shape their futures. There were educational workshops, college and career booths, and seminars on how to create a healthy body image.

Organizers say this year's event was extra special because of the "me too movement."

Organizers say between two and three thousand people attended the event.
