LATINO LIFE: Peace Officers Give Back to Community
They help out with bikes, helmets, toys, food.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- They help out with bikes, helmets, toys, food. Where there is a need, members of the Fresno County chapter of the National Latino Peace Officers Association try to fill it. The local chapter includes peace officers from different local law enforcement agencies. Their goal is to help kids and raise awareness about peace officers.

Armando Hindman, Vice-President of NLPOA-Fresno County Chapter sat down with Latino Life host Graciela Moreno to discuss the organization.

Fresno County NLPOA is raising money for its scholarship program by hosting its Holiday Dinner/Dance Saturday, December 16 at Pardini's in Northwest Fresno. The night includes entertainment by the band Chelada. Hindman says NLPOA will begin to take scholarship applications in January.
