'Straight Outta Fresno' history project presents b-boys, b-girls battle

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A group of students for Fresno State's Valley Public History Initiative battled Saturday for prize money.

The group called Straight Outta Fresno is a performance battle between Fresno State b-boys and b-girls.

A history professor at the university founded the project in 2016 to find a new way to experience and create history.

The performers say they use hip hop to talk about the history of Fresno.
