FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It may be winter break but the learning continues for some students at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo.
Education meets fun at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo. For the next three weeks, adventure camp will let students take a walk on the wild side.
Campers get a behind the scenes tour with docents like Mike Becker.
"The kids are so knowledgeable about animals they want to learn they want to have fun," Becker said.
He uses his experience as a teacher to make sure kids get the most out of their day.
"The more fun you can make things the easier it is for kids to learn."
Elizabeth Sayles of the Fresno Chaffee Zoo said, "Then they have a portion of the day where they actually get to touch and feel some biofacts of bones feathers furs and learn about how the animals are put together."
The idea of camp is to inspire young minds.
"We really feel that the first touchstone to conservation and really loving and learning about animals starts at this young age even three so we love getting to teach them about the most important parts of the animal kingdom," Sayles said.
Openings for camp are available through January 5th.
