In his first interview since returning to work, Deputy Rudy Mirelez shares what got him through a long road to recovery.

Deputy Mirelez went through extensive surgeries, hospital stays and rehab to get to this point and he says it's his family and community that helped him get back in action.

He said there was such an outpouring of support. Even people he has arrested went to visit him in the hospital.

Now he says it is his mission to repay his debt of gratitude.
