FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The countdown continues to the Great American Eclipse. On Monday August 21st, a solar eclipse will cut across the entire United States-- one state getting the best views is Kentucky.

With tens of thousands of people heading to places like Hopkins County to watch the phenomenon-- first responders are preparing to handle the large crowds.

Emergency Management Director Frank Wright said the large crowds could pose a challenge for police and fire departments making traffic control more important.

Some residents are shopping now to avoid any crowded stores later.

In Fresno we will see a partial solar eclipse.
