Fresno State honors the class of 2015 in graduation ceremony
Giddy and anxious, with a hopeful gleam, thousands of students prepare to become graduates at Fresno State.

FRESNO STATE (KFSN) -- Fresno State leaders have handed out bachelor's, master's, and doctorate degrees to thousands of hard working students on Saturday.

"This is like a dream come true," said Antoineka Dabbs, FSU graduate.

President Joseph Castro honored the Fresno State University class of 2015 on Saturday. These Bulldogs are on the edge of their seats, but more importantly on the cusp of their young adult lives.

"I definitely look forward to getting my masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, so that's something that I look forward to and getting into that career," said Kenny Rodriguez, FSU graduate.

Proud families watched with tender hearts as their loved ones were recognized for their accomplishments.

The journey to get here, was a longer road for some more than others. "I'm from Sonora, Mexico. So I came here to study," said Zuleth Lucero, FSU graduate.

Lucero is among students from 23 California State University campuses to achieve this significant goal -- not just for herself, but for her family. "My dad cried, it was cute. He was like 'congratulations,' but he kept hugging me and won't let me go."

A day that these accomplished scholars won't forget anytime soon.
