Fresno State student wins $20,000 from PG&E
One Fresno State student won't have to worry anymore about footing the bill for his college education. PG&E is picking up the tab.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One Fresno State student won't have to worry anymore about footing the bill for his college education. Pacific Gas and Electric is picking up the tab.

Bryan Wood was surprised with a big check from the utility for $20,000. That's him on the left with a PG&E representative and Fresno State President Joseph Castro on the right.

Bryan is an engineering student and one of 10 finalists in PG&E's Bright Minds scholarship program. Each year, 10 students in PG&E's service territory are awarded scholarships to complete their college degrees. An additional 90 program finalists will receive $2,000 toward their studies to cover undergraduate expenses.
