Madera County event raises money for college scholarships

MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- Hundreds of people sampled local wine and beer on Sunday while helping raise money for college scholarships. The Madera County Farm Bureau held its annual scholarship fundraiser at Appellation California, better known as ApCal.

The event featured live music, wine and beer samples, and hors d'oeuvres. Guests could also bid on vacation packages and other prizes.

All the proceeds from Sunday's event will benefit college students from Madera County who are pursuing careers in the agriculture field.
