FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A group of parents protested outside of Raisin City Elementary School Thursday over a recall election involving several school board members.

Parents are upset over recent changes. New board members have changed locks to all the classrooms without letting teachers know beforehand.

It's all happening while community members are accusing board member Evangelina Urias of rigging the election and putting her friends in office. Parents say they refuse to let this affect their children's education.

"To allow the other parents to not be afraid of this lady, or to be afraid of the people that's working with her and under her. Also, you know, as parents we need to unite together and take back our school," said Esther Clark, parent.

Parent's said they want a recall, and if they can't come to an agreement with the board they will consider uniting with Caruthers School District.

When administrators for the Raisin City School District were contacted they had no comment.
