KERMAN, Calif. (KFSN) -- After a big push on social media, it looks like actor Tom Hanks is preparing something, he says, for Kerman High School students.

On Monday, the A-list actor tweeted out this message: "Gear up, Kerman High School for homecoming. I'm working on something for the Festivities! Hanx"

The news comes after Kerman High School decided to make their homecoming theme "Tom Hanks Movies," with each grade designing a float after one of his movies. Then, students decided to take it a step further and try to get Hanks to visit Kerman for homecoming.

There is no word yet on what exactly the actor may have planned for Kerman High School students. Kerman High's homecoming is planned for Oct. 9.
