FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- It's been ten years since the school performed a musical and now they're combining music, puppets, and acting for a Broadway remake.

This is an adult puppet show that is modeled after the tony award winning musical, which debuted on Broadway in 2003. It was a smash hit and they're hoping it also brings a good crowd to Fresno City College.

Avenue Q is the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who comes to New York with big dreams and a tiny bank account. He soon discovers that the only neighborhood in his price range is Avenue Q. Princeton and his new-found friends struggle to find jobs, dates, and their ever-elusive purpose in life.

Most of its characters in Avenue Q are puppets, but this is not a children's show. It's a mischievous and often raunchy look at the challenges young adults face as they try to make their way in the big city.

Performance dates are October 3, 4, 9, 10, & 11 at 7:30 p.m. And October 5, 10 & 11 at 2:00 p.m.

Tickets are $14 general, $12 students/seniors/FCC staff, and $8 group (10 or more).

Purchase tickets online or at the FCC theatre box office, or call (559) 442-8221.
