Visitors to Arte Americas enjoyed a blast from the past and the era of zoot suit big bands on Friday night.

Pachuco Jose Y Los Diamantes performed in Downtown Fresno as part of the Nights in the Plaza Sunset Concert Series. The band was all dressed up in 1940s-style attire and got plenty of people up and dancing.

Organizers tell Action News these events are special because it's an event the whole family can enjoy. "It's an all-ages type of event," Arte Americas Executive Director Frank Delgado said. "So something like tonight you'll have someone who really likes swing music, maybe someone who was a World War II-era grandparent here with their kids, and their grandkids are all getting to experience it together, and they have a good time. It's family-friendly; it's a nice time."

Next week, "Third Sol" is performing. Their style is described as Afro-Latin world-beat.
