Disneyland celebrates 60th birthday with 1950s throwbacks, sweet treats

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Disneyland is celebrating the park's 60th birthday with 1950s throwbacks and free sweet treats for all.

Fans were encouraged to don 1950s style duds to the park on Friday, to mark the theme park's grand opening on July 17, 1955.

There will be 1950s backdrops stationed throughout the park for photo ops, and a dance party is planned so fans can show off their best moves from that era.

Also, everyone who comes to the park Friday will be treated to a free birthday cupcake.
