Star Wars fan creates 7,500 piece Lego set
A year before Star Wars the Force Awakens started breaking records at the box office a man set out to break a record of his own.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A year before Star Wars the Force Awakens started breaking records at the box office a man set out to break a record of his own.

That record was to complete a 7,500 Lego piece model of the millennium falcon. Marshal Banana spent a year gathering pieces, finalizing the design and assembling it all.

He managed to include lights for the engines and mounted gun turrets, as well as a fully modeled cockpit. Fully assembled, the creation measures almost 3 feet long and weighs 22 pounds.

The largest lego set ever sold to assemble the iconic ship was 5,000 pieces and Lego fan site The Brothers Brick points out that Banana's model is far more detailed.
