Family escapes early morning house fire in Central Fresno
The Red Cross is now helping a family that was able to escape an early morning house fire in Central Fresno; the cause is under investigation.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fire investigators are trying to determine what started an early morning house fire in Central Fresno.

It was called out about 6 a.m. Friday on Hampton way and Thorne, that's near Fruit and Ashlan.

When fire crews arrived they found flames shooting from the roof.

The family living inside was able to escape the fire safely.

They are now being helped by Red Cross.

It's not yet known what sparked the fire.
