16 college friends celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary together

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Several couples who are all celebrating 50 years of marriage enjoyed a special reunion on Saturday.

The couples all attended Fresno Pacific University in the sixties and became friends. They were reunited about ten years ago at an event at their alma mater, and got the idea to get everyone together again. After years of planning, the eight couples finally made it happen.

"It's been great reminiscing and telling stories from back when we were young and thinking about college days and things we did together then and the things we've done since," said Paul Neufeld, organized reunion.

Five of the couples still live in the Fresno area, and three others came in from out of town for the special day.
