Christmas Tree Lane prepares to open with first walk night
Soon, thousands of Christmas lights will be lighting up the Fresno sky.

Soon, thousands of Christmas lights will be lighting up the Fresno sky.

Each year, there are only two designated walk nights during the month long stretch of the annual event. Millions of lights are used to decorate 140 homes and trees along a stretch of Van Ness, between Shields and Shaw avenues.

Christmas tree lane is now in its 93rd year -- one of the longest running holiday events around the country -- and more than 100-thousand people visit every year.

The Christmas Tree Lane walk nights will take place on Wednesday, December 2, 2015 and Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 6 to 10 p.m. Tree Fresno provides a shuttle express service which can be boarded at two locations:

North station: Palm Avenue at San Ramon Avenue, near Shaw Avenue and the Fig Garden Village shopping center.

South station: Van Ness Avenue at Andrews avenue, near Shields Avenue and Gazebo Gardens

The first bus leaves the north station at 5:45 p.m. and the last bus leaves at 9:30 p.m.

Tickets cost $7 per person.
